At the Threshold of Creation

More than a restaurant honouring Japanese cuisine, discover an immersive earth-to-table-to-canvas journey, set within a beautifully reimagined landmark in Cavendish Square, Marylebone.

Aki London

Poised and deliberate like an akitsu, the dragonfly whose name we carry, Aki London is a journey unfolding through nature, food and culture with effortless grace. Here, every detail is looked after, yet nothing feels forced, and creation reveals itself in a captivating embrace for those we welcome.

Earth

Eighty in-house farms, each rooted in seasonality, cultivate Japanese produce with care and intention. No carbon miles, no compromise. Only the natural rhythm of growth, harnessed at its purest.

Table

Nature, shaped by the discerning hand, takes a refined, instinctive and quietly surprising form. Be it on a plate or in a cocktail glass, everything is an act of craftsmanship designed to linger in memory.

Canvas

Set in a Grade II-listed former bank turned into a seamless blend of art club and restaurant, Aki’s character lives on the walls as vividly as it does on the plate. Curated works from leading galleries create a scene to be lived and observed, never staged.

Our  Philosophy

Philosophy on the plate at the heart of Aki lies a spirit of restless innovation. Each dish reflects boundary-pushing creativity and uncompromising spontaneity, crafted to surprise, delight and linger long after the final bite. This is fine dining redefined where heritage, art, and culinary mastery meet in the heart of Marylebone.

Four Spaces, One Journey

In the heart of London, the former bank, redesigned by acclaimed designer Francis Sultana, now holds four distinct worlds, each with its own character yet sharing the same sense of subtle elegance.

Central dining room

Beneath soaring ceilings, heritage architecture meets the energy of the current art scene, with signature dishes like Wagu Tataki and Natto and Yuzu lamb, that catch the eye and awaken the palate.

Kyori lounge

Low-lit and intimate, the stylish vault bar offers a retreat beneath the city. Here, the focus shifts, crafted drinks take centre stage, and the night takes on its own, unhurried rhythm.

Private dining

The mezzanine terrace and private dining area create a sanctuary for moments meant to be kept.

Corporate dining

Discreet and adaptable rooms for meetings and celebrations alike, where business unfolds in the calm presence of beauty.
